It has a high-quality push-button mechanism and uses the LAMY M16 giant ballpoint pen refill, which writes for up to 8000m. German-based LAMY are renowned for their superb design and reliable quality. At the top of LAMY's young writing range, the AL-star is light, smooth and sophisticated. It has an indestructible brass-wire chrome-plated clip, a lightweight and strong aluminium body and cap, and a characteristic grey-plastic front grip section, moulded for perfect comfort. The barrel has an ink window so you see when you need a refill.
